こんにちは、山猿、
「SaintNicolas」はオランダの古い伝統です。子どもは言われています、彼は最初の土曜日に11月11日(SaintMartinus)の後にオランダに着きます。彼はスペインからの蒸気船で到着します。彼には多くの助手がいます。
それらは顔が黒い。それらは「黒いPeete」と呼ばれます。

"SaintNicolas" is an old tradition in The Netherlands. Children are said he arrives in The Netherlands on the first Saturday after November 11th (SaintMartinus). He arrives with a steamboat from Spain. He has a lot of helpers. They have black faces. They are called "black Peete".

When SiantNicolas is in The Netherlands, children place their shoes before the stove or heating, before they go to bed. Black Peete climbs through the chimney. The children give something for the saint or his horse. This could be a drawing or a big carrot. Next day the children may find a small present in their shoe.

The big evening is the night "before his birthday". On December 5, SaintNicolas or blackPeete visit the house. Usually there is knocked hard on the door or the window. The typical cookies, "pepper-nuts" are thrown into the room. The children are usually a little bit afraid, but also excited. A large sack with presents is found at the door or somewhere in the house. When a present is opened, people always say: "Thank you SaintNicolas".

Actually December 6 is the day SaintNicolas died in 342. It is a tradition also loved by many adults. This feast was the base of SantaClause.

私は、少し早かったことを知っています。
私は私たちの通常のセットでセットを命じました。私たちにはニコラス聖(12月5日)が最初にいます。多くの人々がオランダでニコラス聖を祝います。私たちは、ニコラス聖のレゴ・セットを得ます。

私、最初に試みられた、レゴのウェブサイトから直接送られました。不運にも、それらは、日本へ直接送りません。

Hello 山猿,

I know I was a bit early. I ordered the sets with our usual sets. We have Saint Nicolas (5 December) first. Many people celebrate Saint Nicolas in the Netherlands. We get our Lego sets on Saint Nicolas.

I first tried to sent directly from the Lego website. Unfortunately they do not sent to Japan directly.

Hello 山猿,

I am glad it arrived safely. It was sent 14 days ago. I hope your daughter likes the advent calendar. It is a little bit a boy's theme this year. Braam has the "Star Wars" theme advent calendar.

I did not knew about this newspaper. Evaa had packed the packet (I instructed her at work). The newspaper says: "An evening in autumn atmosphere". We can buy a lot of pumpkins at the sides of secondary roads now.



It is a bit early, but the "toy shop" has a nice Christmas atmosphere.
